Lesson through a Bike

It was vacation time and I had nothing much to do. We owned one bike but unfortunately there was none to ride it because daddy was not well and brother was out of town for studies. My mother do not know to ride and my sister in spite of knowing hardly made an effort to go for a round or get some household work done. The bike stayed lonely in the garage, becoming lazy day by day. So I decided to take the charge and learn to ride the bike. Two of my friends, Rohan and Purnima assured me to help in riding the bike. I always used to go with them and practice till I became perfect. At times, I thought I won't be able to ride as I couldn't maintain the balance and was afraid. This continued for about a week. The next day, the moment I sat on the bike, I made my mind that 'its me who is controlling the bike and not the bike that controls me'. Whether I should race or slow down or use the break is in my hands. With this I realized that there is nothing to get afraid of. I need to be positive and trust on myself and this is how in few days  I finally learnt to ride perfectly. This was the lesson through a bike which enabled me to gain confidence in not only riding but also in daily tasks of my life. Whenever there was fear in mind, there was self confidence too. Whenever anxiety entered within, there was presence of hope because a bike had taught me to get control over my life. Also a big thanks to my friends who helped me to overcome my fear and making me a good rider.
